There are different initiatives in our area supporting Ukrainian people who have arrived here. A support hub has been established in Hillside Church.
As new families arrive, the needs at the support hub differ each week and appeals maybe made at short notice.
The Red Cross have started to place families this past week. As a result the hub was extremely busy this morning and our stock is pretty depleted.
This week (23rd April) the needs are listed below.
Drop off is available at Hillside Church Hub will be opened 10-1 on Tuesday and again on Friday 10-1pm

This is the list of the most pressing needs….any donations would be hugely appreciated.
- adult toothpaste and toothbrushes,
- face cream,
- sanitary products including panty liners,
- baby food pouches (fruit),
- aptamil baby formula (stages 2 and 3),
- snack foods,
- socks (all sizes),
- pjs (all sizes),
- ladies and gents underwear,
- bra’s/crop tops,
- nappies (various sizes)
While the donation of practical items like those above is extremely helpful
we cannot underestimate the value of friendship.
The hub is opened at Hillside Church from 10am to 12 noon every Tuesday and Friday, so please feel very welcome to come along and have a cup of coffee with old and new friends.
