"Where your treasure is, there your heart will also be" Matthew 6:21
Thank you for supporting the pastoral work of The Parish of The Holy Rosary and St. Kilian and the Parish of Kilquade, and the Archdiocese of Dublin with your financial donations. Your generosity ensures that the work we do within our parishes and outside the parish walls continue as we seek to create the Kingdom of God in the “right here and now”.
There are different ways to give financial support (via standing orders or PayPal or envelopes):
Parish Planned Giving
These donations remain in your parish. These donations support parish based initiatives and expenses. They are used for monthly expenses, maintenance and repairs to the churches and other church properties, and parish office expenses.
The Parish Planned Giving is also used to cover the expenses associated with liturgical celebrations: Baptisms, First Holy Communions, Confirmations, marriages, funerals; and other parish events.
Donations directly to the parish may be made by contacting the parish office or through the tap machines in some or our churches. Thank you.
Sunday Basket Collections and Christmas, Summer and Easter Dues
These donations are forwarded to the Archdiocese of Dublin of which a proportion is returned for parish use. The First Collection (Common Fund) supports the priests of the Archdiocese, including sick and retired priests. The Second Collection (Share) supports essential pastoral services in all parishes in the Archdiocese.
The Christmas, Summer and Easter Dues support the priests of our parish, sick and retired priests, priests in low income parishes, and priests working in special ministries. These donations are collected by the parishes but are distributed by the Archdiocese.
How To Contribute
While use of envelopes for Parish Planned Giving and Sunday Basket Collections will continue, we strongly encourage electronic (standing order) donations for the following reasons:
- electronic giving is safe, secure, flexible and can be changed or cancelled at anytime as necessary
- it is confidential, convenient and saves the parishes time in counting cash and the cost of envelopes,
- stabilises budgeting.

NFC Label is a Tap or Scan donation facility for phones. NFC Labels, which have a QR code, are on the benches in The Holy Rosary Church and St. Kilian’s Church.
For those who wish to contribute to the Parish Planned Giving using monthly envelopes, you must register for this with the Parish Office.
Envelopes are available in all of the Churches for the Sunday Basket Collections
Other Ways to Support your Parish
Remembering the Parish in your Will
Remembering the parish in your will by bequeathing property, assets or money, will help the parish for future generations. these donations can be directed to:
- maintaining church property, or
- support the development and outreach of our Pastoral Plan through its ministries, employees and faith based programmes.
If you are a PAYE taxpayer and generously make an annual donation in excess of €250, which is less than €5 per week, the Parish can reclaim additional funding directly from the Revenue Commissioners. The parish office will be in touch with you if you fall in this category of donations.
If you are self-employed, the Parish will be happy to provide you with a receipt for your contributions so that you can offset your contributions against your taxes.
