As parents we want the best for our children, to provide them with the love and support that will help them grow into the people they will become.

We want them to know that we are always there for them, to be able to guide them through the tough times, and to enjoy those very special and cherished moments of their childhood.

But with the busyness of family life in can be hard to take time out to reflect on how to build strong foundations and a healthy family life.

On January the 16th we will be starting a parenting course that will support parents as they navigate through parenthood.

The Parenting Children Course is based on Christian principles but designed for all couples with or without a church background. The course is for every type of parenting situation including parenting on your own, step-parenting and parenting as a couple.

The course consists of five sessions designed to equip those parenting or caring for 0 to 10-year-olds, and parents-to-be, with long-term strategies to build a healthy family life.

Over five sessions, the course will help you to:

  • Build strong foundations
  • Meet your children’s needs
  • Set clear boundaries
  • Teach healthy relationships
  • Consider your long-term aim

The course will be held in Killian House Family Centre in Greystones. It starts on Tuesday the 16th of January, at 7.30pm.
