The 1st of February is the feast day of St. Brigid, Patroness of Ireland. Members of the Women of Faith Team spent some time recently learning more about this wonderful lady.

Mass will be celebrated at 11am in St. Joseph’s Church Newtownmountkennedy (This is a Latin Mass).

To celebrate Grandparents’ Day as part of Catholic Schools Week, which took place from the 19th to the 25th of January, a group from the Women of Faith team joined students in St. David’s Secondary School to make St. Brigid’s Crosses. It was a great event, and you might see some people you know in the photos below!

Why not visit our churches this Saturday to see the beautiful displays for the feast of St. Brigid. Many thanks to all who gave their time and talent into making these such wonderful tributes to St. Brigid.
