A Breakfast Gathering of the Women of Faith will take place next Friday 16th October at 10.30am in Kilian House Family Centre, Kimberly Road, Greystones.
The theme is based on Autumn Awakenings: A Time to Renew and Reconnect, where we will celebrate this season of harvest and fruitfulness by taking time to consider the fruits of the Holy Spirit in our lives. These are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control – essential qualities in this increasingly secular society.
Speakers include Rosmary Lindsay and members of our Pastoral Team.
Rev. Rosemary Lindsay, retired Christian minister of the Methodist Church in Ireland, will speak to us and lead us by reflecting on the Fruits of the Holy Spirit. Rosemary served for 17 years in parishes on the East Coast and midlands before retiring from active ministry. She will share some practical reflections with us on how we can incorporate these vital spiritual fruits into our lives.
Faith and renewal are powerful themes. Faith reminds us of the importance of perseverance, hope and personal growth. Renewal encourages us to be open to a fresh perspective, allowing us to learn from past experience, while moving forward with hope and determination.
Autumn is a spiritual season of transition as we move from active summer days into a quieter more contemplative time, giving opportunity for pause. Autumn is also a time of letting go. Just as the trees quietly drop their burden of leaves, autumn invites us to surrender our worries to a Loving Creator, and to enter a new season of renewal, faith and trust.
We hope you can join us on the 16th, when we will have the opportunity to listen, reflect and to exchange ideas in smaller group conversations.
