Do you know your strengths? And do you know how you can love God with all your strength?
As the Church approaches the end of the liturgical year, this Sunday, at Ruah Mass, we also finish our journey with the commandment of love, deepening our understanding of loving the Lord, our God, with all our strength.
Occurring over 300 times in the Scripture, the Hebrew word “Meod” doesn’t mean strength at all.
So, where does this translation come from? And how a single word can change our understanding of what God wants from us when calling us to love Godself with all our Meod?
Come to Ruah Mass this Sunday and let the gentle breath of the Spirit inspire us to love God, ourselves, and one another.
Ruah Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 6:30 pm in The Holy Rosary Church, Greystones.
