Mass at the Grotto of Lourdes

Archbishop Dermot Farrell celebrated Mass at the Grotto of Lourdes on Friday 4th September 2026 with the pilgrims of the Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes.
The Archbishop described the shrine as a place of hope, faith, truth and God’s transforming presence.
He emphasised Our Lady’s vision of God raising up the lowly and called for Christians to work actively for justice.
He highlighted Ireland’s housing crisis as a major injustice, urging society, the Church and individuals to examine their own responsibilities and priorities.
