“The vitality of our Church increasingly relies on our lay people to step into leadership and service roles with courage and love.” Read more from Archbishop Dermot Farrell and watch an insightful short video.

This weekend, we celebrate Lay Ministry Sunday.

Our Archbishop has written to us all in a letter which will be references at all masses. In it we will hear about importance of lay ministry in sustaining and growing the life of our faith communities.

We are a vibrant faith community supported by many called to serve in lay ministry. This weekend new Funeral Ministers will be commissioned at the 6pm Vigil Mass in St Anthony’s Church Kilcoole and the 6.30pm Evening Mass in The Holy Rosary Church Greystones. Please keep them in your prayers as they begin their ministry.

Let us celebrate all the glories and generosity of those in lay ministers this weekend.

Your financial support of the Diocesan lay ministry collection this weekend is welcomed. It will replace the Share collection.

Do you recognise anyone in the poster? – that is our very own Lisa Hawkins, Sacramental Coordinator on the left!
