This year the emphasis is on the significant impact of war on women’s lives, and we know how often they bear the brunt of the aftermath, trying to rebuild their lives and support their families in challenging and difficult circumstances.
Keynote speakers at the event are Patricia Coyle, Director of Communications for the Irish Jesuits as well as an award winning journalist, and Fr. Damien Farnon, Chaplain to the Irish Defence Forces and based in McKee Barracks,Dublin.
Pat Coyle will share insights from her background in philosophy, journalism, and spiritual leadership and its meaning for everyday life, while Fr. Damien Farnon will discuss his experiences on two overseas missions with the Defence Forces and the role of chaplaincy in providing moral, pastoral, and practical support.
The morning will include discussion on various aspects of equality, including understanding the experiences and struggles of others, embracing our roles as peacekeepers, and living our lives better through faith. The event will also explore how faith can play a role in promoting peace and reconciliation.
The event aims to celebrate the resilience and contributions of women, encouraging attendees to reflect on how they can contribute to a more equal and peaceful world.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday 7th March for this unique and hopeful event.
