Due to the King of Greystones Triathlon this weekend, The Holy Rosary Church carpark will be closed between 6pm on Saturday the 26th July and will reopen for Mass at 10.45am on Sunday the 27th of July.
There will also be extensive travel restrictions on Church Rd/ Mill Road/ Charlesland Rd/ Farrankelly dual carriageway.
Traffic will be stopped at key points by Gardaí who are assisting with traffic management. King of Greystones Committee and Marshals will be in place along the route to provide assistance to participants and warning to motorists and pedestrians. There will be extensive traffic restrictions/ delays/ some road closures and partial lanes closed on all of the roads leading from Burnaby Park, Mill Road to the N11 dual carriageway via Charlesland & Farrankelly dual carriageways. Traffic cones will be in place to close off lane closures. Gardaí will be in place at specific junctions closing roads. The dart Car Park will be full with participants vehicles and will be closed. Approx. 400+ participants. All cyclists participating are asked to obey the rules of the road while cycling. We ask that vehicles drive with care and use an alternative route via Killincarrig or a later travelling after the event ends to minimise traffic inconvenience in Greystones.
