What success… ask and you shall receive!

Following two recent appeals for members of the community to come forward and serve, there is news of two ministry teams now up and running…

A new team has come together as the Church Care Ministry in St. Anthony’s Church Kilcoole. Following the retirement of the previous member who looked after the building sometime solely on her own, a team of 7 have come together! We give thanks for all the dedication, time and effort the outgoing person gave to this ministry – one not often appreciated in public. We also give thanks to all those who have stepped up and to serve in this way. If you are thinking about joining the Church Care Ministry, contact the parish office.

The Funeral Ministry Team has reformed with 7 new members joining 5 who were originally in place before the C19 called a halt to this ministry. Ministers will be commissioned in the coming weeks. These members will be present in the Church and at the Graveside, shadowing the celebrant and supporting families. This is the first stage of engagement as part of the process of building up a team to fully support Funerals in the Pastoral Area.

Thank you to all who answered these calls to serve. Might you consider something to support your faith community?

Give us a call and let us see what we can do, to support you in that decision. There are many opportunities available.
