The History of St. Anthony's Church
One of the first “modern” churches to be built in our Archdiocese, St. Anthony’s conforms with the liturgical norms of Vatican II. It was opened and blessed on the 28th July 1968.
Since 1989 the histories of “Glenroe” and Kilcoole have been inextricably linked. St. Anthony’s Church featured in the T.V. series until 2002. It remains a tourist attraction!
