In order for the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation to go ahead, we need the support of parents and guardians of candidates.

First Holy Communion and Confirmation Families, can you help support each other?

As May quickly approaches, we are coming close to families celebrating the next step in their children’s faith lives with First Holy Communions and Confirmations celebrations in our Pastoral area.

Every year the community of Sacramental parents and guardians support each by helping as we host the celebrations.  This year we are asking for your help to:

  • welcome families into the church and
  • to assist with car parking or
  • managing pre-set camera angles and progress through power point slides – training will be provided.

Ideally, if you can give up to 4 hours on a Saturday or Sunday morning (9.15am-1.15pm) to help at a celebration it would be much appreciated.

If however you can only commit for 2 hours that would equally be appreciated (please mention that in the note section below).

We need help on the following dates:

  • Saturday May 3rd          9.15am – 1.15pm
  • Sunday May 4th             9.15am – 1.15pm
  • Saturday May 10th        9.15am – 1.15pm
  • Sunday May 11th           9.15am – 1.15pm
  • Saturday May 17th        9.15am – 1.15pm
  • Sunday May 18th           9.15am – 1.15pm
  • Saturday May 24th        9.15am – 1.15pm
  • Sunday May 25th           9.15am – 11.15am

Could you take a moment to follow this link HERE where you can register for a time slot during one of the ceremonies in May.

We really appreciate your help!

Equally, if you are not a parent of one of the children preparing for Sacraments but would like to help out, we would be delighted.

We as a parish can host these ceremonies, but it takes the whole community to make them happen successfully.

If you can’t help practically, we would really appreciate your prayers both for us as a parish, and for the children and their families who will be celebrating their First Holy Communions and Confirmations.

Thank you!
