Even though there are millions of Christians in the world, it sometimes might feel like we are alone in our faith, lacking support and understanding from those around us.

Yet Jesus invites us: “Come after me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

We are not only asked to listen to the good news of God but to proclaim the Gospel proudly. Being a follower of Jesus is not easy; it has never been and will probably never be.

Therefore, it is all the more important that we go out and “fish for people”, telling them it’s worth being a believer and being strong in our faith as good fruits will come from it.

Our children deserve to be guided to find the spiritual path. By baptising them, we give them a head start in the faith direction.

Come and join us this weekend when we baptise little Rebecca into the Christian community during Family Mass in St. Anthony‘s Church Kilcoole at 10 a.m.

The children will learn about the sacrament of baptism and what the eight sides on the baptismal font stand for. Do you know?
