ECUMENICAL BIBLE WEEK
Ecumenical Bible Week is taking place from September 7 to 14. The project is supported by the two Archbishops of Dublin and brings together people of different traditions around the Word of God.
Because this year is the anniversary of the Nicene Creed, we decided to explore the text of the Creed, looking in particular at the biblical background to what was agreed in Nicaea all those years ago. The closing service is in Christchurch Cathedral (on the 14th at 3.30pm). “Thinking Allowed” – our discussion forum – takes place today, Wednesday, September 10, at 7.30pm in Donnybrook Pastoral Centre. Our Saturday Seminar (three speakers) takes place in St Brigid’s Church of Ireland, Stillorgan, on Saturday the 13th, starting at 10.30am and ending at 2pm.
All events are free and you warmly encouraged to consider coming yourself to any or all of these events.

SILENT SERVANTS OF THE DIVINE MERCY

Colum and Seosamh are two young men with non-verbal autism. They spell to communicate. They have had a prayer ministry for some years now and have a Facebook page called Silent Servants of the Divine Mercy. They invite people to like the page and send their prayer intentions to them. They then pray and offer their sufferings for all the prayer intentions. They also recently started a sodality called Silent Servants of the Divine Mercy Sodality. The Sodality holds a monthly online prayer meeting on Zoom. The hope is that other people who cannot attend a prayer meeting in person can join them in praying for the intentions of the Silent Servants. They particularly invite other silent people or people with disabilities. Everyone is welcome. The next meeting will be held on Sunday the 3rd of August at 7pm. The meeting will be approximately 30 minutes. Please send a text to 086 4134847 if you are interested in attending the meeting. The day before the meeting we will send out a Zoom link for the meeting.
