First Holy Communion Parish Religious Education Programme (PREP) is a programme organised for families where there is no First Holy Communion programme taught in school.
If your child attends, Delgany National School, Greystones Community National School, Greystones Educate Together National School, St. Francis’ National School, St. Patrick’s National School, Woodstock Educate Together National School, is homeschooled or attends another non denominational or Church of Ireland school you and your child are asked to attend this programme.
This programme is run by the Pastoral Catechists and team who prepare and supports Catholic families from these schools who are celebrating First Holy Communion.
These sessions are compulsory in order for your child to be ready to celebrate the Sacraments, as this is their and your sole preparation. We are here to support you along every step of the journey.
There are 9 Parish Religious Education Programme (PREP) sessions. Most of the sessions will take place on a Sunday morning at 11.15am. The final session will take place on Thursday the 15th of April at 5.30pm.
All sessions are held in St. Anthony’s Church, Kilcoole
The dates for these sessions are as follows: 11th October 2026, 22nd of November 2026, 6th of December, 17th January 2027, 31st January 2027, 7th February 2027, 14th March 2027, 11th of April 2027 and the 15th of April 2027.
